Privacy Policy

1. Overview

This policy explains what AislOut Technologies LLC ("AISLOUT", "we") collects when you use the AISLOUT apps and websites, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

2. What we collect

• Account data — phone number and/or email address (verified with one-time codes), and the name you choose to add.
• Order data — the items you buy, amounts, taxes, fulfillment choice, order status, and digital receipts.
• Location — approximate location while you use the app, if you grant permission. It confirms you are at a participating store and can reduce extra verification. You can use the app without it.
• Presence signals — QR scans, NFC taps, and Bluetooth beacon sightings inside participating stores, used to start sessions and identify store zones.
• Payment data — saved payment methods are stored as provider tokens with the card brand and last four digits only. We never store full card numbers.
• Support data — messages you send us through in-app support.
• Technical data — device type, app version, language, and diagnostic logs.

3. How we use it

• To operate the Service: sessions, orders, payments, passes, and verification.
• To send transactional messages: one-time sign-in codes and receipts.
• To send a welcome email and occasional product updates — you can opt out of non-essential email anytime.
• To prevent fraud and keep merchants and shoppers safe.
• To improve the Service using aggregate, de-identified usage patterns.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Who we share it with

• Merchants — the store you order from sees your order and, where needed for verification or delivery, your name and relevant details.
• Service providers — cloud hosting and messaging (Amazon Web Services) and, when live payments launch, payment processors. They act on our instructions.
• Legal — if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Service.

5. Retention & deletion

We keep account data while your account is active. You can delete your account in the app (Profile → Delete account): your phone, email, name, addresses, saved cards, and support tickets are removed or de-identified immediately; order records are retained for merchant bookkeeping without identifying you.

6. Security

Data is encrypted in transit, one-time codes are stored only as hashes, exit passes are cryptographically signed, and access to production systems is restricted. No system is perfectly secure; please keep your device protected.

7. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their data.

8. International use

The Service is operated from the United States. If you use it from elsewhere, your data is processed in the US under this policy.

9. Your choices

• Location, notifications, and biometric unlock are opt-in and controlled in app Settings.
• Marketing email can be switched off in Settings; transactional messages (codes, receipts) are part of the Service.
• You can view and edit your profile, addresses, and cards in the app at any time.

10. Changes

We may update this policy; the version above will change and material updates will be flagged in the app.
